About Dana
In addition to overseeing all content on Radio-Info.com as executive editor, veteran trade journalist and former radio programmer Dana Hall is editor of Urban First, a weekly newsletter for the urban radio and music industries.Dana joined the company in 2007, and has worked hand-in-hand with the Radio-Info team to build a website for the radio industry that is informative and forward thinking. In the Fall of 2009, she also became the editor of the weekly newsletter Urban First, and took over all editorial content for the Urban section of the site. A radio trade journalist since 1996, Dana worked for Billboard’s Airplay Monitor as a reporter and later its Urban Editor. In 2003 she joined respected trade publication Radio and Records as Urban Editor, and later added Rhythmic editor duties. Her foundation for writing about radio came from her years as a programmer and on air personality. In her hometown of Boston, she worked at heritage Urban WILD-AM, where she handled promotions, Music Director, APD and on air duties for ten years. She also worked at Greater Media’s WMJX-FM and former oldies WMEX-AM, in Boston.
