With 770 billion page views per month and over 600 million members, Facebook plays a huge part in the lives of online consumers. Putting their user base in context, they have nearly 4x the total population of Russia and 2x the total population of North America using the site.









The average person on Facebook posts 90 pieces of content on their Facebook wall on a monthly basis. That’s an average of 3x per day!

Facebook leans heavily into the 18-34 year old audience, but has shown outstanding growth with 35-54 year olds over the last two years.

If your company is on Facebook, keep your posts short. In a recent study by Buddy Media, they uncovered that posts with 80 characters or less have a 27% higher engagement rate. They also reported, “posts with instructions such as ‘like,’ ‘post,’ ‘take’ and ‘comment,’ tend to work best.” Also, posts with a question at the end of them stir up stronger response rates.
