Gadget of the Week: The Ultrabook
The
talk of CES this year is centered on the Ultrabook. These laptop-like
devices are the new competitor to Apple’s MacBook Air. They run on the
Windows operating system, use flash storage, and boot up in 10 seconds
or less. Ultrabooks are three to five pounds and are deemed this year’s
gadget to watch at CES. They range from $700 to $1,000, and are
manufactured by Lenovo, HP, Acer, Asus and Dell. Watch for updates in
this week’s connected section on which Ultrabook will be crowned the winner.
