17 will be inducted into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame
Everything is big in Texas. The Texas Radio Hall of Fame announces their 2010 induction class will include 17 people who have made a name for themselves on Texas airwaves. The list of 17 includes Brad Barton (KRLD/WBAP), Tony Bridge (KMHT/KHER/KLUE), Bud Buschardt (WFAA/KVIL), Jack Hines (KNUS/KRLD) and Jim White (KRLD/KNUS), who all graced the Dallas/Fort Worth airwaves, while Rolando Becerra (KLAT/KEYH/KXYZ), Maurice “Crash” Collins (KLOL/KZFX), Joe Ladd (KIKK), Mary McCoy (KVST/KMCO/KIKR), Bill Moffett (KLOL/ KXYZ/KFMK) and Dayna Steele (KLOL), all worked in Houston during their long careers. Don Couser (KONO/KDOK/WOAI), Don “Skinny” Green (KONO) and Bill Kiley (KONO), all worked in San Antonio and all graced the airwaves on KONO-AM (860), while Scott Hodges (KLIF/WBAP/KTSA) worked in both San Antonio and Dallas during his career. The class will also include Houston’s Marty Ambrose (KEYH/KLOL/KUHF) and Paul Williams (KGKB/KNUZ/KDOK), who both passed away recently.
