A BBC DJ is in trouble for reporting that Queen Elizabeth II had died
BBC West Midlands afternoon presenter Danny Kelly played the British national anthem and then said, “Queen Elizabeth II has now died.” His show producer almost immediately chimed in, saying to Kelly, “You can’t say that,” according to London’s Telegraph newspaper. The BBC apologized for Kelly’s actions, and said that “Action is being taken” against him. Kelly later clarified on the air that he was referring to a Facebook user who has the same name as Britain’s royal monarch.
