A flip, a swap and a station goes dark

Tucson's Classic Rock KHYT "Rock 107.5" has made an evolution to the softer Classic Hits side as "K-Hits" ... In Lubbock Texas, Fox 34 TV is reporting the March 30 frequency swap of Ramar Communications' Rhythmic KSTQ "Hot 97.3" with that of AC sister KLZK "Stars 104.3". The Radio-Info.com boards are discussing possible other changes with the swap ... And heritage KMLB (1440) Monroe, La., has signed off the air for good. The station signed on in 1930--the first station in Northeast Louisiana, according to Louisiana Radio Journal, KMLB's owners, Holladay Broadcasting agreed to surrender the station license in order to stay under the FCC ownership cap. Its recent purchase of crosstown KNOE (540) puts them over that cap in the market.
