A laid-off Toronto DJ found dead in his home may have committed suicide
CTV is reporting that Martin Streek. who was known to fans of Toronto’s CFNY-FM (102.1) “The Edge,” is an apparent suicide. Streek spent more than 20 years with “The Edge,‘ joining the station after leaving high school. He was let go in May, due to company restructuring. The final message left by Streek on his Facebook page said, "So…I guess that’s it…thanks everyone…I'm sorry to those I should be sorry to, I love you to those that I love, and I will see you all again soon (not too soon though)…Let the stories begin.” By midday on Tuesday, a tribute page for Streek on Facebook had over 3,000 members and over 410 postings.
