A power failure knocks six Clear Channel stations off the air in Denver
Radio-Info has learned that Tuesday’s power outage was a localized issue in the building housing the stations, and occurred while construction work was being done in the building. However, it took time to correct, and affected everything from the station signals to office computers, as well as the backup generator which failed to connect. The AMs – KHOW (630), KKZN (760) and KOA (850) were all off the air around 11:30am for about 90 minutes, while KTCL-FM (93.3), KPTT-FM (95.7) & KRFX-FM (105.7) all were silent for nearly an hour. The Denver Board of Radio-Info takes notice, here.
