A radio rumor – The end of the world is just over 5 months away
That rumor is courtesy of 89-year-old Harold Camping, who runs the Oakland, California-based Family Radio Worldwide. Through his belief, billboards are beginning to sprout up around the nation predicting May 21, 2011 as the day things will drastically change around the world. Camping, who claims he calculated the end of the world through the Bible, also believes certain actions are leading to this day, including "Gay Pride," same-sex marriage and the creation of the State of Israel. Camping is on record as saying, "Beyond the shadow of a doubt, May 21 will be the date of the Rapture and the day of judgment," and his followers are spreading the word. The Family Radio Worldwide website has a page dedicated to the end of the world that you can read here. By the way: this is not the first time Camping has foreseen the end of the world. Some of his followers are now leading market-to-market caravans warning the population about his latest prediction.
