A Scottish station says the "F-word" is OK to say on the radio

F-bomb While the United Kingdom's broadcast regulator OFCOM may deem the language offensive, St. Boswells, Scotland radio station Brick-FM (103.0) has other ideas. The radio station was cited by OFCOM for allowing songs to play that included a number of "F-words," along with another that contained the sexual-slang word "punani." However, the station had its own replies for OFCOM's charges. As for the word "punani," the station representatives claimed they mistook the word for "panini," saying they believed the word meant a "sandwich sold locally and is made of Italian bread with cheese and tomato, which is heated up.” As for the numerous "F-words," the station says the "f-word" is a "commonly used word in Scotland which is not considered offensive locally.” OFCOM didn't agree, and the reprimand against Brick-FM will stand.
