A sports-switch in Denver, where the "Ticket" will be on the audio of Channel 6

The new owners quietly tested the signal over the last two weeks, using the Spanish-language ESPN Deportes. It passed the test, so the low power TV audio channel at 87.7 becomes the new home of all-sports “Ticket”, and the 102.3 frequency that was previously KCUV, Greenwood Village is the Denver home of ESPN Depoartes. Westword says the Ticket’s lineup is live and local through the day, starting with today’s debut at 7am of the Vic & Gary Show, featuring TV sportscaster Vic Lombardi and Gary Miller. For their new Ticket, GM and part-owner Tom Manoogian and partner Doug Moreland are leasing the audio of Syncom’s low power TV KXDP-LP. It’s tuneable on many radios at 87.7, and the FCC hasn’t required low power TV stations to convert to digital. The Ticket becomes sports station #4 in Denver, alongside “Fan” KKFN (104.3), “Mile High Sports” KCKK (1510) and “ESPN 1600” KEPN. Clear Channel 50-kw talk/sports outlet KOA (850) also does sports play-by-play.
