A talk host is served lawsuit papers while hosting a live show
Simply put, they knew exactly where he was at the time. Ted Arneault was hosting a show live on KDKA-AM (1020) when he was served papers alleging that he was in violation of the non-compete clause of his contract with a former employer. MTR Gaming Group, based in West Virginia, claims that Arneault violated his non-compete when he became a shareholder of American harness Tracks. A lawyer for MTR Gaming went to the radio station to serve the papers before he went on the air, but after finding out Arneault was doing a remote broadcast, went to that location and served him during a commercial break. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review says MTR claimed it had tried to send the legal notice by mail, but Arneault refused to accept his mail, so it had no choice but to bring the notice to him personally.
