A Virginia earthquake has East coast radio shaking

Phone lines were jammed in the aftermath of the 1:50pm Eastern time quake centered around Mineral, Virginia, between Richmond and Charlottesville. The Salem Radio Network has a bureau in Rosslyn, VA, co-located with Salem's WAVA and WWRC. SRN VP Tom Tradup jokes that "it kind of felt like driving on the typical Washington D.C. street filled with potholes." The WTOP.com website, for the Washington area's all-news station, wasn't reachable for a few minutes, probably because of overload. The Pentagon is just one of the federal buildings in the D.C. area to be temporarily evacuated.
