ABC Radio Networks launches the evening "Brian McKnight Show"

It’s targeted to Urban and Urban AC stations, and hosted by McKnight, a Grammy award winning singer and songwriter who also has some experience in radio. He’s been co-hosting mornings with Pat Prescott on CBS Radio’s smooth Jazz KTWV “94.7 the Wave” Los Angeles. The new syndicated night show for ABC airs weekdays, from 7 – midnight. The first affiliate is Emmis Urban AC WRKS “98.7 Kiss FM” New York, which debuted it last night, Monday, January 26. There, the show replaces the local “Kissing After Dark” with Lenny Green, who joins McKnight on the national show to co-host the final two hours each night. "The Brian McKnight Show” incorporates live interviews, performances, discussions and more. Joining the team as producer is Celessa Catchan, who worked at the former KRBV Los Angeles. The program will also run on ABC Radio Network’s “The Touch” in the same time slot, starting later this month.
