Adios to "Viva" and hello Fox Sports on Columbus, Alabama's WHAL-AM (1460)
The Clear Channel-owned station in Phenix City has dropped Spanish hits and the “Viva” moniker, and adds the entire syndicated Fox Sports format. Steve Czaban handles mornings, followed by Dan Patrick, Jim Rome, and Myers & Hartman through afternoon drive. Then Petros & Money, J.T. The Brick and Fox Sports Soup will be on through the night. By changing formats, WHAL will challenge WEAM-AM (1580), the ESPN Sports affiliate in the market. You can check out the “Fox Sports 1460” website here.
