After 20 years, K.T. Mills is cut loose by Long Island's AC WALK-FM (97.5)

KT Mills Despite consistent top ratings for nearly every year, Clear Channel has severed ties with afternoon host K.T. Mills. Radio-Info reported Friday that the station is going in a different direction, with Z100, New York weekender Nick Parker taking over PM drive. Mills has a tremendous history with WALK-FM holding at or near top ratings in Arbitron's 12+ and 25-54 categories for the time she was on the air. She also was the catalyst behind a law enacted and named for her in 2003 designed to protect people from stalkers, which provides an order of conditions that's separate from an order of protection. Mills was the victim of a crazed stalker for a number of years. She was also extremely active in a number of Long Island causes including the United Way, the American Heart Association and the Carol Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund. The Nassau-Suffolk Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about the talent change, here.
