All-Christmas stations shoot to #1 in many of the early December PPMs
L.A.'s adult contemporary KOST jumps 3.5 (October)-3.9 (November) to 6.2, with age 6+ AQH shares for the survey period that Arbitron calls "December." That is, November 10 through December 7, allowing Arbitron to squeeze in a special "Holiday book" in the 48 PPM-measured markets. Chicago's AC "Lite" WLIT more than doubles its share, 3.3-3.1-7.4. While Long Island AC WALK-FM moves into first place, 2.4-3.2-5.4. New York AC "Lite" WLTW was already #1, and its share increases, 5.7-6.0-8.2. (Compare that to 2010's 5.9 to 8.4.surge.) Check the just-issued December PPMs on the Ratings Page of Radio-Info.com, here. The Day 1 list also includes Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia and Atlanta. More PPMs after 5pm Eastern time, here at Radio-Info.com, where you can sort the ratings by factors such as owners and formats.
