Andre Carson to program at Clear Channel St.Louis
In St. Louis, Clear Channel has finally found a programmer to oversee urban AC KMJM “Majic 104.9” and Gospel AM KATZ “Hallelujah 1600.” Andre Carson, former PD at Carter Broadcasting’s KPRS Kansas City, will join as PD, effective immediately. Carson exited KPRS in March of this year. Prior to his run in Kansas City, Carson was the longtime PD of CBS Radio’s WPEG, Charlotte and before that, WWDM Columbia, SC. "Our entire staff participated in interviewing many excellent candidates for this job, and Andre was the first choice for their leader," said OM Jeff McHugh. "I've known Andre personally since 1984 when we each worked at WWDM Columbia, S.C., and WHYZ Greenville, S.C.. Andre is a quality person, hyper-intelligent and very, very fun to work with."
