Andrew Paul is named PD of news/talk KXNT-AM/FM in Las Vegas
CBS Radio in Las Vegas is bringing in Andrew Paul to be the new Program Director for news talk KXNT-AM/FM (840/100.5). Paul comes to Vegas from Boise, Idaho, where he has been the PD for news/talk KBOI-AM (670) and sports/talk KTIK-AM/FM (1350/93.1) since 2002. Prior to working in Boise, Paul was PD in Albuquerque for sports/talk KNML-AM (610) "The Sports Animal." CBS Radio SVP/Market Manager Jerry McKenna says, "Andrew’s winning track record in news, talk, and sports programming, coupled with his crystal clear vision for spoken-word programming on FM, make him the ideal person to continue the extension of the heritage KXNT brand to the FM band and an entirely new audience. We are thrilled to have him join the CBS RADIO team.” He will start his new job in Vegas on May 23. McKenna replaces Bob Agnew, who parted ways with KXNT in late-April. The Nevada Board of Radio-Info.com has been talking about the PD situation at KXNT since April - here.
