Arbitron Director of Urban Radio Julian Davis retires
After 22 years with Arbitron, Julian Davis announced he is retiring. Davis is well-known in the Urban format for creating the annual Arbitron Urban PD Clinic, as well as the Black Consumer Study. He joined Arbitron in Dallas in 1989 as an account executive and later moved to Atlanta. He was named Director of Urban Radio in 1998. Prior to joining Arbitron, Davis had a long history in the entertainment business having served as a concert promoter, as well as road and stage manager.
