Arbitron removes two "media-affiliated" diaries from the Fall Atlantic City quarterly book
A revised set of numbers will be available after 10am today. As usual, Arbitron is circumspect about revealing the situation, and says only that “audience estimates for WTKU and WMGM may be substantially affected in particular demos and dayparts.” There shouldn’t be an inference that WTKU/WMGM owner Atlantic Broadcasting was involved in anything improper. Also, neither classic rock WMGM (103.7) nor classic hits “Kool 98.3” WTKU had unusual spikes in the book that was delivered on January 11. As today’s T-R-I Newsletter reports, the three-book 12+ AQH share trends are 3.5-3.1-3.8 for WMGM, and 3.1-3.6-3.6 for WTKU. Atlantic City is Arbitron market #141 and gets two books a year, Spring and Summer. Check out the Atlantic City numbers on the Ratings Page of Radio-Info.com.
