Armed men attack a Somalia radio station
Two men with guns began shooting outside the studios of independent Horseed Radio in the town of Bosaso, when one of the men tossed a hand grenade at the building, blowing a hole in the side of the structure. The radio station reported no injuries to workers, but soon after the same men allegedly fired on patrons at a cafe across the street, injuring one person who is a Horseed Radio employee. It was two months ago that police stormed the radio station, arresting station director Abdifatah Jama Mire, who was charged with interviewing the leader of an Islamist al-Qaida-linked group. The Somali government has banned interviewing any opposition group leaders. Mire remains in prison. You can see pictures of the grenade damage here.
