Atlanta surprise – Steve Hegwood resigns as Radio One's Ops Manager
VP/General Manager Tim Davies says Hegwood is going to devote more time to the group of stations he owns himself, including expanding it in size. Davies says “All of us in Atlanta and Radio One as a whole wish Steve nothing but the best.” This will be the second time Hegwood left Radio One to focus on his ownership ambitions. Davies says the job of operations manager for Atlanta – which includes overseeing the new “Majic” urban AC simulcast at 107.5 and 97.5 – has been posted at the “careers” section of Radio-One.com. Here’s what the Atlanta Board is saying:
