"BlackPlanetRadio" launches, in partnership with Radio One and Songza
They're calling it "the digital industry's first social radio website targeted towards African-Americans." There's music discovery from the Songza library of 14.5 million songs, and the ability to share them with social network communities. Interactive One is a division of Radio One, and its President Tom Newman says "BlackPlanetRadio makes creating music playlists more fun by allowing users to play DJ and to share their creations with their online friends, for free from their desktop browser or via our mobile iPhone and Android apps." The service is integrated with Facebook and Radio One's own BlackPlanet. Read more about the new BlackPlanetRadio from Radio One's release, here.
