Bloomberg LP to cut as many as 60 jobs in TV and radio
The New York Post says as many as 60 jobs will be lost across an operation that’s far more than radio and TV – it feeds content to all corners of the Bloomberg media empire. The Post says the layoffs, worth about $20 million, will happen starting Wednesday, and there will be an equal amount on both the radio & TV side. Since its founding in 1981, there have never been any layoffs at Bloomberg LP, which owns WBBR-AM (1130) in New York City. Bloomberg is a financial software, news, and data company employing over 10,000 people.
