Boomer heads to CC's "Channel 96.1" WHQC Charlotte as PD
Clear Channel’s top 40 WHQC “Channel 96.1” Charlotte (which just changed its call letters from WIBT last week) has a new PD. Boomer, who is currently APD/middayer on co-owned CHR WZJZ “Y100” in Ft. Myers, Florida, will start his new gig on August 29. He is succeeding interim PD Special Ed, who remains on board as APD/MD/nights. Boomer previously programmed Clear Channel CHR WRVQ “Q94” Richmond, VA., and Citadel’s KSLZ “Z107.7” St. Louis.
