He was off the air for a month, suspended for a series of Mexican slurs. But WTKK-FM (96.9) afternoon talk host Jay Severin returned to the airwaves Tuesday, starting his show with a 2 minute and 30 second apology. He said his remarks “were hurtful, unkind, and wrong” and told the Mexican-American community he was sorry. Severin also said “To every person I have offended by my recent remarks, I'm truly regretful and I extend my apology. Severin was suspended following his April 30 remarks, when he described Mexicans as “primitives,” and said Mexico was an exporter of “women with mustaches and VD.” Discuss it here:
