Brandmeier's revenge? The former WLUP, Chicago jock creates a wild video
Jonathan Brandmeier plays the part of a rapper named “Johnny B. The Unemployed Radio Mo Fo”, and some of his lines have sharp edges: “Johnny B’s the best and he’s got awards to prove it. But now the suits say it’s cheaper to play music. Hey, monkey, push a button and play another song. Talent on the radio just doesn’t belong.” As Robert Feder observes on Vocalo.org, Brandmeier’s been unexpectedly a free man since he and Emmis called it quits in late November, several months before his contract to do mornings at classic rock WLUP (97.9) was to expire. Watch the four-minute video on Vocalo.
