British wireless company Orange to sell Wi-Fi radio device

The Gaurdian reports that Orange, a mobile phone and residential broadband provider in the UK and Europe, has announced the UK launch of LiveRadio, a device which connects to a home broadband line, allowing consumers to hear up to 4000 Internet radio stations. While this is not the first Wi-Fi radio, it does have another feature: It gives listeners the chance to purchase tracks they like after hearing them, by connecting directly to the Orange music store. Those tracks are instantly downloaded to the consumer's computer and mobile phone. The device can also play MP3 music files--but not those bought through iTunes. LiveRadio was launched last year in France, and sold over 10,000 units in the first few months. Check out the device here
