Bubba the Love Sponge stays with Cox's "Bone" in Tampa
"Bone" WHPT owner Cox Media Group says Bubba's morning show has been #1 with men and adults since its return to terrestrial radio in January 2008, and that Bubba has just renewed his deal with the rock station. The personality himself says "After weighing my options and much consideration, I am happy to return to the Bone....Cox believed in me when no one else did." His show is syndicated beyond Tampa to Ft. Myers ("96.1 K-Rock" WRXK) and Charleston SC ("98 Rock" WYBB). For some part of the previous few years, Bubba was also heard on Sirius XM's Howard Stern channel through a separate arrangement.
