The latest Virgin Radio-branded station in Canada has appeared in Calgary, Alberta. Astral Media has flipped the imaging of CHR “Vibe” CIBK-FM (98.5) to “Virgin Radio,” adding Calgary to a growing list of “Virgin”-branded markets that include Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Ottawa. CIBK OM Chad Martin says, “98-5 Virgin Radio will have more opportunities for our clients and listeners to engage with us and experience radio in a fresh new way.” The new “Virgin Radio Calgary” is still being constructed, but you can see it here. The morning show will have Marc Michaels, Dani Rohs, and Fuzzy, and other components will include Perez Hilton’s “Fab 30,” Akon’s “Hitlab Radio Show” and the syndicated Ryan Seacrest.
