CBS goes all-news on KRLD-AM, Dallas (1080)
The announcement came last Friday morning, says Robert Philpot in the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram: a collection of two-person anchor teams beginning with Ernie Brown and Mike Rogers, 5-9am. Then come Mitch Carr and Scott Braddock (9am-1pm), David Rancken and Bonnie Petrie (1-4pm), and Will Sterrett and Alice Rios (4pm-8pm). The hourly “wheel” sounds familiar from other CBS all-newsers, such as “traffic and weather together on the 8’s”, sports at :15 and :45, and business news at :25 and :55. KRLD-AM continues as the flagship of the Texas Rangers Radio Network and the home of the Texas State Networks. The Dallas-Ft. Worth Board of Radio-Info.com is talking about CBS Radio’s latest tweak at 1080, here.
