CBS lobbyist John Orlando a frontrunner to run the NAB, says Washington's Roll Call

Tuesday’s “Roll Call” reports Democratic CBS lobbyist John Orlando is “under serious consideration” to land the top job at the National Association of Broadcasters. The NAB is searching for a replacement for former President David Rehr, who resigned in May. Orlando knows Capital Hill very well, after serving as deputy director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in the mid-1980’s, and as a former chief-of-staff to Rep John Dingell (D-Mich.), the Energy and Commerce Chairman Emeritus. When asked by Roll Call, NAB spokesman Dennis Wharton did not comment specifically on Orlando, but told the Capital Hill newspaper “An exhaustive search is currently underway.”
