CBS Radio officially appoints Michael Martin format captain for CHR
New York- and Detroit-based Dom Theodore left the VP/CHR Programming position recently, and Martin had been covering for him. Now CBS Radio Senior VP/programming Greg Strassell says "Michael Martin has done a tremendous job growing the audiences for our San Francisco stations, and transitioned 99.7 Now into a top performer in the market." Also, Martin has "already worked with a number of our Top 40 stations." Martin joined CBS in 2009 after programming in L.A. and San Francisco for Clear Channel. He takes the title of Vice President, CHR Programming. CBS has ten stations in that format grouping, including four of the top five markets. Martin continues as VP/Programming for the CBS music stations in San Francisco, including hot AC "Alice@97.3" KLLC, modern rock "Live 105" KITS and 99.7 Now KMVQ.
