CBS says auto advertising is improving into 2012
CEO Les Moonves tells an investors conference that Japanese manufacturers are coming back as advertisers, and that domestic automakers continue to be users of broadcast media. Like many broadcast executives, Moonves predicts a strong year from political advertising, with revenues pushing past the levels of 2008 and 2010. On the financial side, CBS has been a steady dividend-payer, and Moonves hints about a possible increase in the quarterly dividend paid to shareholders. He says it is "certainly possible."
