CBS spent $1.55 million on D.C. lobbying in the 1st Quarter
It appears that much of lobbying money spent by CBS Corporation was in response to the proposed performance royalty that record companies want radio stations to pay. The $1.55 million was about 50% higher than the amount CBS reported in the same quarter one year ago. CBS also spent some of that $1.55 million on such topics as free speech issues and the FCC’s proposed national broadband plan.
