Charges are dropped against talk host Nicole Sandler
Radio-Info previously reported on the arrest of progressive talk host Nicole Sandler, who was taken out in handcuffs from a Florida town hall meeting held by Tea Party Republican Rep. Allen West on April 26, and held in jail for 18 hours. The former Air America and Miami WINZ-AM (940) host, who currently hosts an internet show, was with a group of people asking questions regarding proposed budget cuts to Medicare. According to the police report, the arresting officer alleged that Sandler "became very disruptive and loud ... Her behavior caused many of the audience members to enter into a verbal altercation with her that threatened to become physical. I (the officer) instructed defendant to leave the property more than a dozen times ... she became physically aggressive with this officer, pushing me several times. Defendant was finally placed under arrest." You can read the complete arrest report here. The Broward County Florida chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union announced they would represent Sandler if the case had gone to court.
