Charlotte gets a new "Groove"
Charlotte’s “Groove” debuts on WZGV (730) this morning. The new station will be airing classic hits from the ‘60s, ‘70s, and early ‘80s. The Charlotte Observer reports the HRN Broadcasting station takes the place of the former WOHS, which went dark last April. The line-up includes several market vets: In morning drive, Ken Conrad (last heard on adult standards WOLS in mornings); Liz Luke will take on midday while Ashville vet Glenn Trent handles afternoon drive. HRN also operates WLON-AM in Lincolnton, WCSL-AM in Cherryville and WZGM-AM in Black Mountain. The Charlotte board is discussing it here:
