Chicago's "True Oldies 94.7" WLS-FM hires Dave Fogel for mornings
Fogel succeeds Brant Miller, who left just after New Year’s, and the hiring brings him back to the market where he worked from 1997 until 2004, at Bonneville’s “Mix” WTMX and briefly at classic rock “Loop” WLUP (97.9). Fogel’s currently in Kansas City at AC “Star” KCKC (102.1), and his hiring is reported by Robert Feder at Vocalo.org. Fogel had done afternoons at Mix, but he’ll take on the morning duties at WLS-FM (94.7) on March 1. The lineup will be Fogel, Scott Shannon (voicetracked from WLS-FM’s New York sister, WPLJ), Greg Brown and Dick Biondi. Shannon created the “True Oldies” format, which is syndicated by Citadel Media.
