Chicago's WGN radio (720) hires Greg Jarrett for morning drive

It then solves the “Kathy and Judy” followup question by sliding John Williams into the 9am-noon slot at Tribune’s news/talker. It was only last December that John Williams was re-positioned from early afternoons to take over mornings, when Spike O'Dell chose not to renew his contract. Now Tribune says he’ll be able to return to doing long-form talk and using his interview skills. While it hires former KGO, San Francisco PM drive co-anchor and ABC News correspondent for mornings, 5-9am. Jarrett takes over his new duties Monday, June 22. It’s been three weeks since Kathy O'Malley and Judy Markey left the station, ending a 20-year run. The Chicago Board’s on it now.
