Chico police are looking into threatening letters sent to KPAY advertisers
Police in Chico, California say that threatening letters were sent to a number of advertisers doing business with KPAY-AM (1290) – letters which The Chico Enterprise-Record says “refer to specific acts, including employees getting shot or assaulted, arson against a business, and other property damage.” The letters say that KPAY advertisers “will reap hate” if they “continue to sow hate.” KPAY is a news/talk station, with syndicated talk hosts including Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Lars Larson and Michael Savage. KPAY has alerted its advertisers to turn any such letters in to the police.
