Chris Berry named Senior VP at Westwood One's Metro Source news unit
Berry most recently managed in Los Angeles at "710 ESPN" KSPN and had run Washington, D.C. talker WMAL (630). Before that he was VP, Radio for ABC News and Director of News and Programming at CBS-owned all-news WBBM, Chicago (780). Metro Traffic President Steven Kalin says "with more than 1,500 radio and television stations relying on Metro Source for their news and information needs, Chris' deep industry experience and news and programming background will be a valuable asset" to Westwood One. Metro Source provides a menu of services from fully-anchored newscasts to sports and entertainment reports, and audio/video content for station websites. Berry will be based at Metro Source headquarters in Phoenix and will report to EVP of Affiliate Sales Mike Haake.
