Christmas Flips – Wednesday, November 16, 2011

KOST Just two days after the surprise flip of Smooth Jazz KTWV “The Wave” Los Angeles to all holiday music, the market’s heritage AC KOST (103.5) has now flipped as well. Clear Channel’s KOST has been the unofficial holiday station in Los Angeles for the past 10 years, having traditionally made the flip before other stations. KOST is kicking off the season programming with a holiday party at Disneyland on Thursday, Nov. 17 … In Pittsburgh, a similar situation as Renda’s AC WSHH (99.7) made the switch to all Christmas music, beating out the market’s usual “Holiday station,” Clear Channel Oldies WWSW (94.5) – which announced on air it will “begin the tradition” this Friday, November 18 … Also making the flip to all-Christmas is KQXT “Q 101.9” San Antonio.
