Cincinnati rocker WEBN issues an apology over comments about a Tiger Woods girlfriend
The WEBN-FM (102.7) “Dawn Patrol” was discussing the many women in Tiger Woods' life, including Cori Rist, whom they called a “whore” on the air. What the morning team didn’t know was the father of Rist is a Cincinnati-area resident, and he heard the show. He sent an email to station management, and the station responded with an apology on their website which said, “We would like to extend our deepest apology for the disparaging remarks we made at the expense of Ms. Rist. In the future we will strive to choose our words more carefully when addressing a situation or person that we have no personal knowledge of.”
