Cincinnati's "Big One" WLW shuffles the lineup again, as "Fingers" fans protest

Eddie Fingers exited as PM drive co-host two weeks ago (October 7), and now Clear Channel’s WLW (700) adjusts to that opening by moving a personality it had installed in the late morning shift just three months ago. That’s Scott Sloan, who was promoted from evenings to 9am-noon, succeeding Mike McConnell (now at Chicago’s WGN/720). So the new afternoon team is Scott Sloane and Tracy Jones. While Doc Thompson, who started at the top-rated talk station just two weeks ago, takes over late mornings. As the Cincinnati Enquirer reports, Doc Thompson is still the double-duty man. He moved from Richmond, but still does 3pm-6pm for Clear Channel sister talk station WRVA (1140) from a studio in Cincinnati. Meanwhile, a campaign to restore Eddie Fingers is gaining momentum on Facebook, with close to a 1,000 supporters. Fingers spent many years on WLW sister WEBN (a rocker at 102.7) before turning himself into a talk personality at WLW. The Cincinnati Board of Radio-Info.com quickly began talking about the latest lineup at The Big One, here.
