Citing "run-away ratings," New York's WOR shuffles lineup to add more Glenn Beck
The popularity of the Glenn Beck Show is the reason Buckley-owned WOR-AM (710) is tweaking their lineup. WOR says that Beck’s two-hour late-morning show “consistently outperformed WABC in the Adults 25 to 54 demo in average quarter hour share.” Beck will add a third hour, extending his show from 9am-12noon starting June 22. To accomodate Beck, Joan Hamburg’s local show will start one hour later, from 12noon to 2pm, and Dr. Joy Browne will leave the daytime, running from 10pm-midnight. In addition, WOR will debut Dr. Ronald Hoffman from 12am-1am, and cut back overnighter Joey Reynolds from a 5 hour to 4 hour show. The block of Lou Dobbs, Steve Malzberg and Michael Savage will remain intact from 2pm-8pm, as will the John Gambling morning drive show.
