Clear Channel begins stunting on KATZ-FM “100.3 the Beat” St. Louis
The Urban station briefly went all-Halloween, then it looked some Thanksgiving songs, then it segued to all-Christmas with Brenda Lee’s “Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree.” Inside sources have confirmed that the entire on air staff was laid off. The Radio-Info.com boards predict a permanent new format starting in January. In the market’s first PPM ratings, KATZ-FM earned a 3.6, 12-plus share for September. The urban leader in the market is Radio One’s WHHL “Hot 104.1”, which had a 4.9.
