Clear Channel flips Pueblo's "Jet 107.9" from oldies to rock

KDZA has been oldies for at least 20 years, and a consistent player in both its home market of Pueblo and further north in Colorado Springs (a 2.9 share 12+ in the Winter Arbitron). This afternoon Clear Channel blew it up and replaced “Jet” with a rock format that employs its Denver-based Lewis & Floorwax morning show, from “Fox” KRFX. The Denver-Boulder Board of Radio-Info speculates that part of the rationale is to “pull a couple of points away from [Bahakel rocker] KILO.” That discussion is happening here.
