Clear Channel further expands iHeartRadio menu, adds L.A.'s KCRW, KUSC
The two Los Angeles public radio operations are already well-known, online. Clear Channel says KCRW, Santa Monica (89.9), with its mix of eclectic music and strong personalities, is "one of the most respected broadcast stations in the world", with an international fan base. The University of Southern California's classical KUSC (91.5) is "one of the largest and most-listened-to classical stations in the country." Both stations will begin to stream on the iHeartRadio platform in February. President of Clear Channel Digital Brian Lakamp says "We are thrilled to add KCRW and KUSC and make public radio stations available for our listeners." iHeartRadio re-launched last September with its own 850+ terrestrial stations and unique streams, and has since added stations from Univision, Cumulus, Greater Media and New York pubcaster WNYC, among others.
