Clear Channel layoffs squeeze Metro/Total Traffic Network together
The Metro Networks traffic operation that Clear Channel bought from Westwood One in late April is being melded with CC's own Total Traffic Network.
- At the Rutherford, NJ office that serves the New York City area, Mike Weinstein, Brian Duhaime and longtime research director Cathy Hogan are out. Weinstein had handled the morning operations job and was heard on CBS Radio's "1010 WINS."
- In Dallas, at the former Metro traffic shop, seven-year staffer Joe Isham is gone, according to the Dallas-Ft. Worth Board of Radio-Info.com, here. Isham was on vacation and got the phone call today.
- Washington DC, Director of Operations Jim Russ was let go, according to DCRTV. The site says Russ is featured in the November "Washingtonian" magazine, in a story about Metro. DCRTV reports that John Frawley and Mollie Simpkins were let go, earlier this week.
